My Atcs for June

I just wanted to share my atcs for my swap for June. Theme is PLACES. Once all the swaps are in, I will post a pic with all the players cards.

I'm not a dessert maker...

BUT.....
Today Stacie invited me to her home for a last fun ladies day (tomorrow is the last day of school for the kids! and they get out early!) and I wanted to bring something special! A dessert... Something that looks and tastes great... however, A BAKER I AM NOT!

I ran across this recipe online at allrecipes.com for STRAWBERRY PIE. We went to the strawberry fields on Sat and picked a bunch of fresh sun ripened berries and I had to do something with them. All you need is pie crust, strawberries, sugar, water and cornstarch. Add whipped cream when serving. You can find the recipe here. WOW! It tastes fresh, sweet and really was a HIT!
(I reduced the sugar to 2/3 a cup instead of the whole cup.)
I can't wait til peaches come in season so i can try the same thing with those fuzzy fruits!

Anyway, I just wanted to share my experience with this recipe. I loved it so much i came home and made a new one for my fam. It is chilling as we speak!

Altered Photo Atcs

My first altered photo ATCs! They are going out in the mail today!

Tile Coaster... God's Beauty

I was just spending some time playing this am... and made this tile coaster. Stamped with Stampin' Up hostess set - God's Beauty in Staz On ink and colored in using a blender pen and Stampin' Pastels. The color is very vibrant. Just love it!
For the final step, I will seal it with a matte or glossy spray varnish. (you can get that at any hardware store.)
Anyway, I had joined a altered photo atc swap a while ago and they are due soon, so that's what I'm working on today. This is my first attempt at altering a photograph, so I am a little anxious.

Tomorrow we are supposed to go on my daughter's field trip to the zoo. The weather forecast is 70% chance of rain... perhaps with thunder and lightening. I hope it doesn't storm. Rain we can handle!

I am really loving my time stamping these days. I feel more free and not pressured by time... for now. Looking forward to the summer with kids and enjoying each day...
(can you believe there are only 10 days of school left!?!)
