Easy Glittery Cards...

It's been a while since I made cards like this. Colored in using copic markers and chalks. And a touch of ultrafine glitter for pop!

Looking forward to Easter and Mother's Day cards and these are perfect to put me in the soft, subtle mood!

I'm also going to stock the stores up with gift tags and baby, wedding & birthday cards soon!

Hoping to get at least a few days of solid work in this week... we will see~ Company coming tonight. See you soon!

**One more picture! It's so hard to put my little nephew down. He's so cute and smells so good! (I know... weird...lol).**

School's in!

Today is the first day of school for my kids and the first day to get back on schedule for me!

Here's a new card to start off the day... (or afternoon...)
Each felt flower is hand sewn on the card stock and then layered on a few layers. Vintage brads in each center.

also working on more face plates for Art Partners...

My friend, Stacie, is featuring a new contest on her blog. If you like PMC jewelry, you need to check it out! (staciejewelry.blogspot.com)

Fall is in the AIR!

I can't believe it... it's already August!
I went for a walk today and it actually "smelled" like fall. I'm not sure how else to describe it. It was also a little cooler than the usual late summer day... so with that and the "smell", it is starting to feel like fall.
I am still designing new Fall line cards as well.
Here's one for birthday!...

tomorrow I will have 2 birdhouses up on etsy and I will deliver some to the Muse (freserick) by next week.

Hope you are having a great start to August! See you soon!

new birthday cards and a new home!

it feels nice to get back to making cards. sometimes when you are away from it for so long, it's hard to get back in the "groove" of it. Lately I've been noticing how beautiful fabrics are and they feel so cozy. It's nice to try and incorporate them into my papercrafts. Here I used a green scrap I found in my bin. Used permanent ink to stamp on it and sewed it with my machine.
This next card uses a vintage fabric scrap from a friend and the small pieces are perfect for making the houses out of.
And finally I used a quilting idea to use many scraps of designer paper I had to make mini squares and border this image. A little ultrafine glitter in the window really makes it pop!

This birdhouse was one I made as a birthday gift. (Whitney @ the Muse!). I have found that I love collaging on birdhouses and other 3D items. I have decided to make some for the store as well. so stay tuned in the coming weeks for available houses!

So that's it for now. New cards will be available soon on Etsy. Thanks for visiting! See you soon!

SnuggleBUNNY...

Today's card is made with the stamp set: CUDDLEBUNNIES by My Favorite Things (www.mftstamps.com).
Reminds me of my many nights with my girls.
Every piece is stamped on several different papers and cut out for some paper piecing. The moon piece uses a mulberry paper with self adhesive. The star is glittered with ultrafine glitter by Stampin' Up!.

Daggers and MAGIC!

Well... we are having yet another snow storm. Blizzard... #2 this week!
I have to say... even though it is very beautiful there is a sense of danger too... check out these daggers hanging from my house. i couldn't get a better angle because I can't strp out onto the 4+ft of snow right under my doorstep.

On the flip side... these kind of days make for great crafting!
I have a showcase on etsy tomorrow so I wanted to get my last minute items for that ready. Here's a new card... a little magical birthday wish! Perfect for any girl... or woman! Features a cute fairy, hand stitches linen thread detail and layers on layers of wonderful card stock and papers!
This card and more on etsy soon!

Hope you are having a great day... weather you are in a sunny and warm place or you are in my neighborhood under foot after foot of snow... !

30 inches so far and counting!

It started snowing yesterday around noon and hasn't stopped. So far we are at the biggest snowfall since I moved to Maryland! (i think in the 20's there may have been a big one and once in the 70's?). This morning I woke up to bright white light and a cheery mood! I had found some time to be by myself quietly crafting this LOUD card...
recently there was a request for a 12yr old boy's birthday card... and you know... I didn't have one. Men and kids cards have always been my difficult area. So I perused some of my magazines (stamp it!) and found one similar to this. I especially love the cardboard detail. Real cardboard ripped and separated layers in a few places really bring in a ton of texture!
anyway, I thought I'd incorporate more of these genre's to the mix!
Well, while the kids are outside enjoying the blizzard, I can spend a few moments longer crafting. Later... knitting socks.
If you are anywhere in the mid-atlantic... HOPE YOU ARE ENJOYING this historic weather!
